The original deck had a generic template feel—lacking cohesive design, visual structure, and polish. The core value proposition of making scientific information easier to access wasn't visually clear or compelling.
The client shared their brand guidelines, including color codes and web assets, which helped us build a visual direction. We also had the freedom to draw design cues directly from their product and website for alignment.
We redesigned the slides to reflect a modern, minimal aesthetic—consistent with the product’s branding. Every slide helped tell the story of the AI-driven platform, with visuals reinforcing the startup's mission to make science more accessible.
We used custom vector illustrations, clean typography, and well-balanced layouts to give the deck a distinct identity. The redesign emphasized key takeaways while remaining visually on-brand and clutter-free.
The most challenging slide to design was the problem slide, as it contained various screen grabs. To make it easier to understand, we created a mock-up of a Google user interface to visually depict the actual problem faced in the search engine.
